As a proud fan of Manchester City, I have to say… this felt inevitable.
A 2-0 win over Arsenal in the EFL Cup Final, and just like that, another trophy added to the cabinet. More importantly, Pep Guardiola finally ends that 6-game winless run against Mikel Arteta.
People talked a lot before the match—about Arsenal’s form, their momentum, their “hunger.” But this is exactly the difference. For City, winning trophies isn’t something new. It’s a habit.
When it comes to big finals, high-pressure moments, and games that truly matter, City don’t panic. We don’t overthink. We deliver.
That’s what separates a good team from a dominant one.
Arsenal are a strong side, no doubt. But they’re still learning how to win at the highest level. City? We’ve been here too many times. We know exactly what it takes.
Every season, people look for signs of weakness, moments where City might slip. But when the stakes are highest, this team almost never drops the ball.
That’s the mentality of champions.
